Jessica wore this outfit a while back when we featured our new red Minnie pants and I loved it & knew I would steal it. My parents were visiting for my birthday a few weekends ago and and this was the perfect, fun day outfit for a trip to the new-ish biergarten in Hoboken. And the amazing old building that the biergarten is built in allowed for an awesome background.
We sampled a ton of food because my dad wanted to try everything on the menu and of course, had to have our beer in big mugs. The soft pretzel at this place is hands down THEE BEST soft pretzel I have ever had in my life (I should have taken a picture of THAT!) My parents left shortly after and I was super sad to see them go. I always have a lot more fun with them visiting me than I do on visits home because I get to show them around all of my favorite places.

Since I am currently in yoga pants and a tee on this Thanksgiving day, I share with you an outfit that is suited for holiday festivities with brocade, red velvet, lots of shimmering accessories and tuxedo pants. These new skinny Tuxedo pants complete with satin detailing are extremely comfortable and I went on a limb by mixing metallics.

The weekend before my birthday I attended the Jay-Z and Kayne concert at the Meadowlands after winning tickets from a local Hoboken business. I was very excited and it turned out to be a great show but I do have to say I struggled a bit with what I should wear. I definitely wanted to wear something casual but look hip. I started off with the blazer as the main piece of the outfit and somehow everything else came together for a look that I was really excited about and had never thought of before. I thought my new Sam Edelman’s with the spikes were a nice touch and I am mildly obsessed this deep red color this fall. Do you think it fit the bill for the event?
And even better, this outfit post turned out to be in perfect timing for the new Bloggers Do It Better challenge on Military Chic, seeing as this is really the only military-esque piece that I own! Are cargo skinnies still in this year? I don’t care, I love these and am wearing them anyway!

You can probably tell by the green leaves and bright sun in this picture that it was taken awhile ago. Truth is, I downloaded the pictures to my personal computer and completely forgot about them. I don’t know how this happened seeing as it was the debut of my new coveted Louboutins 
I was helping out at my friend’s boutique on a lovely Sunday afternoon so while I was lazy getting ready (notice the pulled back WET hair) I had to make sure I looked stylish since I was trying to sell other people clothes. This awesome peplum style shirt with the gathering on the top is detailed enough to hold its own as an outfit without a lot of jewelry and I felt super prim and proper in it. It’s from a store I found online called Oasis that has super cute stuff at really great prices but they are based out of the U.K. and sadly, their customer service isn’t that great so shoppers beware: it took over 3 weeks for this top to be delivered and the free shipping and returns are only good for U.K. mailing addresses – I got tricked!
