The day after Christmas we headed to a family friends house for brunch to spend time with my godfather and his family, of whom have always been considered my uncle, aunt and cousins. Brunch turned into an all-day hang out and we didn’t leave until after 8pm from arriving at 11! Had I known that I may have sported some PJs but my outfit was pretty comfy.
As you can see, our friends live on an amazing estate – that’s the pool-house in the background, not the main house – so it was easy to get lost in the house all day and not notice the time passing by. And that little guy in the last picture with me is my favorite dog in the world! His name is Willus and he is my cousin Kirstin’s french bulldog.
The next morning I headed back to NYC on a 7:20am bus and teared up a little bit because I was very sad to leave. We had a packed schedule spending time with so many friends and family and it was probably the most fun we have had over a holiday in a very long time.
I hope your holiday was just as fulfilling with love and friends and family as mine! Cheers to 2012 and I’ll be back tomorrow soon to share one of the best NYE celebrations I EVER had as I crossed an item off my bucket list.
