I bring you part one of the recap of my time at home for the holidays as the last Suckers for Sequins post of our very first year!
It’s a tradition for my family and my mother’s childhood best friend’s family to get together for breakfast at my parents’ house the morning of Christmas Eve. This year we changed it up and went to our favorite restaurant in the town where the moms are from (hellloooo to one of my favorite breakfast entree’s of all time – mascarpone cheese stuffed french toast!). I enjoy that the Christmas holiday celebrations go beyond just Christmas Eve and Christmas day so that you can spend time with your extended families.
I am usually just getting out of bed and stay in my pj’s for our annual breakfast so liked that I had this comfy but chic outfit to don. When I spotted this sweater in Macy’s, I instantly knew it was a keeper with the cable knit in the front and sheer detail in the back. I like to layer on multiple toned silver necklaces to bring out the different greys woven in with the sweater but they keep getting caught on the knit – and in the name of fashion, I wear them anyway so spend time fixing up the snags at the end of the day when the sweater comes off.

I’ll be back after the new year with a post about another extended family celebration from this past Monday!
