While I am not a “do my hair, makeup and put jewelry on for the beach” kind of girl, I do love to sport a great cover-up that can take me from the sand to “no shower happy hour” seamlessly. So, I am in love with my over sized silk blazer. I eyed it and eyed it for months and even posted about it and then scooped it up when it was on sale + used a 20% promotion. The blazer seriously feels like a silk robe when I wear it but is tailored so beautifully that it makes me feel so polished – which is why I wore it when meeting my new clients for the very first time at the corporate offices – and then scooped up the purse while I was there shopping with them, completing this look.
While I love this blazer, I think the bigger takeaway is how much I am obsessed with my bag, which I found at T.J.’s for $20. Seriously, check out the site in the link above – I want every purse on this site! Not only because they have a ton of styles with sequins, but because they are very affordable, the styles are unique and all of their bags just have the best detailing.

I had been lusting for a pair of hot pink pants for some time when JCREW FINALLY came out with their Cafe Capris in this color. And I have yet another funny story for you about my online shopping savviness and determination. I saw the pink pants in a photo on the website but when I went to the product page – they weren’t there – but one color swatch was listed twice. Sure enough, I called customer service and the website was WRONG and I was the first customer to call it out (and get the pants). Of course, the sequin anchor tank came in the same order – no explanation needed there. Sequins, nautical, done.
For some reason, my post didn’t go live even though it was scheduled so pretend hope everyone had a fab fourth and more importantly Happy Birthday to one of my best girlfriends from college Dane Pern.

So my week long hiatus turned into a 2 week hiatus but I spent this past weekend laying out all of the great posts I had planned out a few weeks back but my nautical inspired week now lines up perfectly with the holiday week. Hope you are inspired for you holiday outfit planning.

Another “I can’t believe I am only just sharing this on the blog” posts – Colorblocking! Remember when I wore blue jeans for the first time 2 short weeks ago?
This outfit is super loud so that’s all I am going to leave you with this Friday because I have been drained of all my creativity and am daunted on the amount of items on my to-do list. Aside from Fashion Week, I thought January and February were supposed to be easy-going?! I don’t know what’s going on this year but at the least it has been fun so far.
